About Stockton

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: White with Brown or Chocolate

Stockton was in a abusive situation and was hurt when brought to the shelter.  He is as sweet as can be despite the rough life he endured.   The surgery has done wonders and he is able to walk around now pain free.  He is still a puppy at about 1 year old."  Please read his bio below from his foster mom . He is approx 1 year old.

Cuteness warning: he will give you lots of kisses. He is an absolute love bug. Very friendly to any human he interacts with.  A bit nervous at first as this is a whole new world for him.  He is crate trained and housebroken. He sleeps soundly in his own room/inside of his crate. He is still learning how to 'sit' and 'come here' on command, with a little more practice he will learn those in no time! He pulls a bit on the leash as he gets excited to go relieve himself. He has been doing great off leash and listening while in my yard. He likes to watch TV and snuggle up next to his foster parent as he rests his hip surgery. He is good with dogs. He previously resided with 8 other dogs/siblings. He was initially nervous/shy meeting the resident dog in his foster home, but quickly warmed up after a couple of meets. Unknown behavior with cats or other pets. He chews moderate-roughly. He loves to play with squeaky toys. Stuffed toys not recommended unless under supervision. He rides well in the car. He is living in a foster home near Portland, Maine. He is recovering from a bilateral FHO surgery and is now ready to be adopted. He will need his new family to be active with him including daily walks and runs, so his legs can fully recover over the summer.
