Hospice Foster, Not for adoption It takes a special person to take in a Hospice Foster. Sawyer was neglected for years before arriving in a shelter. He also had a sister that we tried to save but sadly she was very sick and the Vets said the humane thing to do was to end her suffering. It was one of the hardest decisions. it’s a horrible thing to try to save a dog and in the end fail them. Sawyer’s heart is very enlarged, he is at the end stages of heart failure due to heart-worm for way too long. He is on a few heart medication until he passes and on a slow kill heart-worm treatment, but sadly we don’t know how much longer his heart will last. He does have some bad days, but his good days are awesome days because of Sarah. He is spoiled and loved until the time comes. These dogs do not deserve the hands that they were dealt, but we can all help them by being strong and taking them into our heart and homes. So, we want to thank Sarah Simpson for giving him his best life, and Anyone who contributed to him. It’s a very selfless act and needs to be commended, as not many of us can do it, but each dog deserves it. Other Pictures of Sawyer (click to see larger version):
